The objective of this program is to provide campuses with Mentors/Volunteers who have undergone a criminal background check, thus providing peace of mind to parents and ²ÝÁñÊÓƵ. The Board of Trustees necessitated the development of the Mentor/Volunteer programs when it required criminal background checks on all Mentors and Volunteers in the District.

All Mentor/Volunteer background check approvals expire annually on June 30th. Each year, Mentors/Volunteers are required to submit a new Background Check Application for the coming school year on or after July 1st each year. Please Note: Only one background check per individual should be submitted per school year. It is not necessary to complete a separate Background Check Application for each program.
